Do Not Order A Telescopic Pool Enclosure Without Reading This.

Don’t purchase a Pool Enclosure just yet. Please take a few minutes to read to consider these points. They may help you in finalizing your decision on which swimming pool enclosure is right for you.

Can your Pool Enclosure be delivered and installed easily?

Before you purchase a Pool Enclosure, check how easy it is for the swimming pool enclosure to be delivered to your pool side? and also consider how much room you have available for the installation team to work.

Low profile pool enclosures come virtually flat packed, so usually there are no problems with access to pools. Whereas the larger swimming pool enclosure are often delivered already assembled, and require much more room for installation.

Don’t cover your access points

Don’t forget when planning your Pool Enclosure, that you will still need to be able to easily access your filter covers, and other key access points.

The tracked, or trackless Pool Enclosure? Which is best?

This is often a difficult decision before you purchase a Pool Enclosure. From a user view point, the main difference is the ease of opening and closing the enclosure. An swimming pool enclosure that runs on tracks can easily and quickly be opened by one person, but the trackless enclosures usually require two people to ensure the Modules are pushed, and pulled evenly both sides to avoid the swimming pool enclosure moving off centre.

Have you considered if your swimming pool in a sheltered area?

This may have a big influence on the type of Pool Enclosure you purchase. If your pool is in an open or exposed area, where a Pool Enclosure will be exposed to high winds, then a low profile enclosure, or one which is secured to the ground by tracks, would definitely be worth considering.

In what sort of condition is your swimming pool surround? Is it solid, and level. If not, then this will effect the enclosure’s performance

In order for a Pool Enclosure to work effectively your paving should be as level as possible and also the paving should be reasonably smooth, particularly if you are not having a tracked system. The more even the swimming pool surround is, the easier the Pool Enclosure will open and close.

Does your swimming your pool have any raised edging?

If you have coping stones or a lip around your pool that is raised above the level of the swimming pool area, then you will need to take this into consideration when measuring up for a Pool Enclosure.

What will your neighbours think? Or the local Planning Department?

Before you purchase your Pool Enclosure have you decided what is the ideal height of the enclosure. This decision is partly driven by aesthetics, and partly more practical concerns in terms of ease of access.

The benefit of the low profile Pool Enclosure is that it’s much less intrusive visually than the vertical sided enclosures. And also you do not usually need any planning permission. But, maybe the biggest factor in this decision, is budget. The full height Pool Enclosure will cost approximately twice that of a low profile enclosure.
