Many areas in the world are producers of honey and beeswax for medicinal and food purposes. The number of Asian, American, African and European beekeepers is growing as the demand from this lucrative industry continues to rise.

Many beekeepers find that spending time watching hives every 7 to 8 days is a very easy and pleasurable task. The best thing is hives don’t need much maintenance; often one hour would be more than enough for hive watching. A beekeeper can expect to harvest around 80-100 pounds of honey from each season, and depending on the price he gets paid per pound, the total amount of profits can be estimated.

It is common to see bumblebees during this time of the year. They are underground creatures that feed on the same flowers that the honey bees visit.

Many beekeepers will move their hives around which is called migratory which is one of the secrets to increase honey production and giving bees a fresh supply of to pollinate and feed from so they can produce different variations and batches of honey. E
